MINNEAPOLIS -- As Denard Span stood in center field, the ovation grew louder and louder. Finally, it got so loud Span had no choice but to tip his cap.
Jamey Carroll's sacrifice fly in the ninth inning scored Alexi Casilla and the Minnesota Twins won their fourth straight, beating the Chicago White Sox 7-6 Monday night. It was Span's defense, however -- highlighted by a leaping catch against the wall in left-center field -- that stole the show.More From ESPNChicago.com

Liriano (3-10, 5.31 ERA) said before Monday's game that he had no hard feelings toward the Twins after the trade and that he's ready to face his former team. "It just feels weird right now," he said. "I'm just trying to fit in, do my part." ... The Twins will counter with Nick Blackburn (4-6, 7.99). The right-hander has allowed four runs or more in six of his last seven starts. ... Injured Twins starter Carl Pavano (rotator cuff) will make his first rehab start on Thursday in the Gulf Coast League.
