Three-run seventh lifts Arizona

PHOENIX (AP) -- Danny Bautista hit a go-ahead single during a
three-run rally in the seventh inning that carried the Arizona
Diamondbacks over the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5 Sunday.

Adrian Beltre increased his home-run total to 14 with a pair of
solo drives for the Dodgers, who lost for only the second time in
eight games.

Los Angeles led 4-2 in the seventh, helped by two errors that
led to two unearned runs.

Chad Tracy led off with a walk against Darren Dreifort (1-1) and
scored on Robby Hammock's double. Alex Cintron sacrificed. and
Carlos Baerga singled, tying the game.

One out later, Tom Martin relieved and allowed a single to Steve
Finley that moved pinch-runner Casey Fossum to second. Bautista
then singled for a 5-4 lead.

Hammock added another RBI double in the eighth against Guillermo

Scott Service (1-0) got the final out of the seventh. Jose
Valverde pitched 1 1-3 innings for his fourth save, escaping a
bases-loaded, two-outs jam in the eighth by striking out
pinch-hitter Paul Lo Duca -- only his 10th strikeout in 194 at-bats
this season.

Valverde gave up Beltre's second homer of the game in the ninth.

Arizona's Steve Sparks gave up four runs and eight hits in 4 2-3
innings. while the Dodgers' Jeff Weaver allowed two runs and seven
hits in six innings.

Beltre homered in the second, and Cesar Izturis scored from
first base in the third when third baseman Chad Tracy threw high
and wide left of first base after fielding Milton Bradley's

Luis Gonzalez hit an opposite-field, RBI double to left in the
fourth after Finley, in a 1-for-14 skid, reached on a bunt single
to third.

Hammock's passed ball with Dave Roberts on first and a
run-scoring throwing error by Spark on Shawn Green's weak roller
along the first-base line made it 4-1 in the fifth.

Finley hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth after Scott Hairston's

Beltre has six multihomer games, including two this season.
... The Dodgers' fifth could have been bigger if not for an
unassisted double play by Tracy at third. He dived for a liner by
Beltre and landed on third to double up Bradley. ... Izturis has
