Yankees, Red Sox to play two day-night doubleheaders

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Yankees and Boston Red
Sox will play back-to-back day-night doubleheaders.

Friday's scheduled series opener between the American League
East rivals was postponed due to rain and will be made up as
part of a day-night doubleheader on Sunday.

A day-night doubleheader already was scheduled for Saturday.

On Sunday, the teams will play at 1:05 p.m. EDT before the
originally scheduled contest at 8:20 p.m.

The first-place Yankees (89-56) took control of the AL East with
a five-game sweep of the Red Sox (78-68) at Fenway Park last
month. New York's magic number for clinching the division title
is six.
