That will do it for Michael Fulmer in his MLB debut. 23-year-old pitcher, called up to replace an injured Shane Greene, finishes his night after five innings pitched. Fulmer, the Tigers top prospect, gave up seven hits, two earned runs, one walk and struck out four over 93 pitches. Some things to work on, but still an impressive debut. Bright future ahead, promising arsenal

The Orioles are suddenly lefty killers. On Friday, they beat White Sox southpaw Carlos Rodon, their third straight win against a lefty starter – they bested Chicago's John Danks on Thursday, and Tampa Bay's Matt Moore the day before that. A year after going 22-23 against southpaws, Baltimore is now 5-0 in games started by lefty hurlers.

Cespy caps a franchise-best 12-run inning with a #PapaSlam.

A tale of two defenses: In the the bottom of the fifth, the White Sox committed two errors that led to three Orioles runs. Then in the top of the sixth, with the bases loaded and one out, the O's - whose nine errors are 2nd fewest in the AL - turned an inning-ending double play when Adam Jones snagged a Melky Cabrera liner, then gunned down Jimmy Rollins trying to tag up to preserve Baltimore's 3-2 lead.

And as I write that: Yoenis Cespedes clubs a grand slam, giving the Mets 12 runs in the inning -- their biggest in franchise history. Mike Broadway has nothing for the Giants in relief of Jake Peavy but he's going to have to take one for the team.

Dear broker: How much for Michael Conforto stock? Because I'm buying. He just laced his second hit of the inning. All business up there. And he leads the majors in "hard-hit average." He's looking like a 2016 All-Star.

Worth noting, not every ortho surgeon tackles tough multi-ligament cases. Dan Cooper recently operated on Kyle Schwarber at Cubs request.

Jake Peavy had a terrible spring but everyone chalked it up to the fact that he usually has a bad spring. But his struggles have continued: He's gone tonight after giving up six runs in the third without getting an out. For the season, opponents are hitting .382 against him.
