OTD: Gehrig steals home, hits two homers

On this date in 1927, Lou Gehrig stole home in the third inning and later hit two home runs in the Yankees' 7-3 win over the Indians. The two homers gave Gehrig 35 on the season, putting him one ahead of Babe Ruth. '27 Yankees on Twitter
