Aroldis Chapman turned down a request from reporters to speak after making his Cubs debut. He did speak with Pedro Gomez on the field but refused to speak in the Cubs clubhouse.

Luis Severino looked very good in his two scoreless innings of relief during the Yankees' 4-1 loss to the Astros. Severino, who began the year as a starter, could be part of the solution in replacing Aroldis Chapman. Severino could become a setup man. Long-term, though, Severino is supposed to be a future starter, which presents the same issues the Yankees have had in the recent past with guys like Joba Chamberlain and Phil Hughes.
