Catchers do not like the phrase 'pitch framing.' Their preferred word is 'presentation.' Jason Castro doing a great job with that tonight.

Astros need nine more outs, but they won't come from Dallas Keuchel. A.J. Hinch has gone to his bullpen. First up, Tony Sipp.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi will be questioned after the game as to why he took a cruising Justin Wilson out with one out in the seventh and no one on. Girardi brought in his security blanket, Dellin Betances, who he used all season every chance he could. The problem? Wilson had thrown just 25 pitches and looked like he had more in the tank. Plus, the No. 8 batter, Chris Carter, was up for Houston. Betances came in and promptly gave up a run to make it 3-0 Astros.

Dallas Keuchel done after 6 innings

The Astros LHP struck out seven and walked one in six innings of shutout ball vs. the Yankees. Keuchel is the first starter with a scoreless postseason start on three days rest since 2003 (Josh Beckett). Tony Sipp is now in for Houston, which leads 3-0 in the 7th. Live on ESPN, WatchESPN

Astros add another run in the 7th

Astros 2B Jose Altuve hit an RBI single off Yankees RHP Dellin Betances to score Jonathan Villar in the seventh inning to give his team insurance and a 3-0 lead in the AL wild-card game. Live on ESPN, WatchESPN

Rockies bring back Weiss for 2016

Manager Walt Weiss will return for the 2016 season, the final year of his contract. Weiss is 208-278 in three seasons as Rockies manager, finishing last in the NL West with a 68-94 record in 2015.

AJ Hinch managing in his first post-season game needs to be careful NOT to have an early hook on Keuchel #Astros

Masahiro Tanaka out after 5 innings

Tanaka allowed 2 solo HRs, 4 hits and a season-high 3 walks to the Astros. It is his sixth start of 5 IP or less this season after having just one all last year. Justin Wilson is in for the Yankees, who trail 2-0. Live on ESPN, WatchESPN

As expected, Joe Girardi is dipping into his bullpen early, going to lefty Justin Wilson to start the 6th. Masahiro Tanaka allowed 4 hits, 2 of them HRs, walked 3 and K'd 3 and was generally not sharp. Girardi hoping to use Wilson, Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller the rest of the way.

Two great outfield range plays by #Astros outfielders: Springer on play to his left and Carlos Gomez on play coming in

Astros amass new-found power

Solo HRs from Colby Rasmus and Carlos Gomez have accounted for both Astros runs so far. Neither was on the team last season. The Astros have 101 HRs by players who weren't with the organization last season, 2nd in the majors.

Joe Girardi bullpen plan rest of the way is simple: Wilson, Betances and Miller ONLY unless extra innings #Yankees

This will come as no comfort to Yankees fans. Dallas Keuchel has lost just once in 33 starts this season in a game in which he led by two runs. He has now thrown 20 consecutive scoreless innings against the Yankees this season.
