Shout out to Ken Griffey Jr for Ken Griffey Jr baseball N64. I definitely didn't stack the Mariners with all the big-yellow-circle batters.

OTD: Ruth hits longest homer at Comiskey

On this date in 1927, Babe Ruth crushed a ball into the upper deck of Comiskey Park, becoming the first player to do so. The mammouth blast off White Sox pitcher Tommy Thomas was Ruth's 31st home run of the season, and proved the difference in the Yankees' 3-2 victory. '27 Yankees on Twitter

From our Cooperstown interview, new Hall of Fame inductee Ken Griffey Jr. on the temptation for him during the PEDs era: "None. You look at it, my dad wasn't the biggest or strongest or fastest. He always said, 'just don't let anybody outwork you.' Well, I take that back, my dad was fast (laughs)...and I was never the biggest or strongest or fastest on my team...when all of this stuff was happening, I had my own shoe, I was in commercials, I had my own video game, where else could I go? And I was the highest paid ballplayer. So the temptation wasn't there, because I had all these things. I ask people all the time, if you're a 25-year-old kid, you've got two kids, and you're on your way out, maybe. And these things are going take you to a new level and you're going to support your family -- what are you going to do? And people have this look like it's shocking to them, they're like, 'Oh, I would do it,' and then I'm like, 'Oh, okay, so the guys who got busted and the guys who did this, you're mad at them but you would do it?'"

Willie Weinbaum ESPN

From our Cooperstown interview, new Hall of Fame inductee Mike Piazza on the temptation for him during the PEDs era: "First thing, it was illegal...you heard certain overtones of players that did them, but it was just one of those things that was never really in the forefront...it wasn't anything overt, it was just one of those things for me....I've said many times, I've trained as hard as anybody in the gym."
