I have an AL MVP ballot this year, and I know who I'm putting on top: Josh Donaldson #1, Mike Trout #2 in a close race. For Yankees MVP? It's got to be Alex Rodriguez, who led the team in HRs (33), OBP and OPS and played in 151 games. Who else could it be?

Matt Williams dismissed as Nats manager

After a disappointing 83-79 season and missing the playoffs, the Nationals have parted ways with their manager. Williams was the NL Manager of the Year in 2014.

Red Sox tell Hanley Ramirez to slim down

Sox interim manager Torey Lovullo said the team instructed Ramirez to lose 15-20 pounds so he could play 1B next season. Said Lovullo: "It has been discussed. It was outlined in his exit physical that he needs to come in at a certain weight. That's our expectation. To be an infielder you have to be a little more agile." Lovullo added Pablo Sandoval got similar instructions.

Carlos Gomez says he'll be ready for Yanks

Angels to hire Eppler as GM
