Stanton has surgery, out 4-6 weeks

Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton officially had surgery Sunday on his fractured left wrist that he suffered Friday. The team said he would miss 4-6 weeks. Stanton currently leads the majors with 27 HRs and 67 RBIs.

Orioles shut down prospect Bundy

RHP Dylan Bundy hasn't pitched in a month because of shoulder tendinitis. Manager Buck Showalter: "He's just kind of shut down for the near future." Bundy underwent Tommy John surgery in 2013, but surgery isn't imminent for this injury yet.

Phillies introduce Andy MacPhail

MacPhail, a long-time exec with the Cubs, Orioles and Twins, was introduced today to the Phillies' front office. For the interim, MacPhail will serve as a special assistant to president Pat Gillick, who plans on retiring shortly after this season. At that point, MacPhail will succeed him.
