Pretty standard Yankees A-team lineup for today's season-finale against the Orioles. If this lineup can't beat Chris Tillman today, how will it do against Dallas Keuchel on Tuesday?

Wallace Matthews ESPN Staff Writer

Accuweather forecast for today's regular season finale between the Yankees and Orioles sounds much better than the last two days: A period or two of light rain or drizzle during the game but a delay is unlikely. The wind will be blowing in from center field at 15-25 mph. The temperature at first pitch will be near the high of the day of 62 degrees and will dip to 59 by the end of the game.

Sox retain Farrell, Lovullo

The Red Sox announced John Farrell will be back as manager and Torey Lovullo bench coach for 2016. Lovullo signed a two-year extension as bench coach in which he waived the right to pursue a managing job this offseason. Lovullo's agreement protects the Sox in the event Farrell's health remains an issue. (via Gordon Edes)

ICYMI: Scherzer nabs 2nd no-no of season

Max Scherzer got Curtis Granderson to fly out in the ninth to capture his second no-hitter of the season for the Nats. Yunel Escobar's error in the sixth was the only thing that prevented Scherzer from tossing a perfect game.

Sunday's play determines Astros' fate

Will Houston win the division, be in the wild-card game or not make the playoffs at all? It's all still possible. Here's where the team stands:
  • Trail Rangers by 1 game for AL West title
  • Trail Yankees by 1 game for first AL wild card
  • Currently in second AL wild-card spot
  • Hold 1-game lead over Angels for second AL wild card

Looks like my bullpens will be at the team hotel from now on. Thanks to my teammates for making this special day possible!

David Schoenfield @dschoenfield

Astros win! So tomorrow we could get a tie for the AL West title, we could get a tie for the second card, or we could get no game on Monday.
