Wil Myers has bruised quad
BRADENTON, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Rays right fielder Wil Myers left the game with a bruised quadriceps after fouling a ball off his right leg in the third inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday.
Myers, the American League rookie of the year last season, bent over a few times. He was helped to the dugout by Rays athletic trainer Paul Harker.
Myers is listed as day to day.
Last season, he batted .293 with 13 home runs in 93 games.
