Three minor leaguers suspended
NEW YORK -- Three minor league baseball players were suspended for violating baseball's drug policy.
New York Yankees right-hander Daniel Gil, who is on the Class-A Tampa Yankees, was suspended 50 games for testing positive for Sibutramine, a performance-enhancing drug.
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Ronald Mendez and left-hander Audrys Mora each received 25-game penalties for their violations. They were both on the roster of the Phillies' Venezuelan Summer League team.
