SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Kansas City Royals and pitcher Danny Duffy have agreed to a one-year contract for $487,750.
The team announced the move Tuesday.
The 23-year-old left-hander is expected to be a member of Kansas City's rotation this season after going 4-8 with a 5.64 ERA in 20 starts as a rookie last year.
The Royals say every player on their 40-man roster has now agreed to a 2012 contract. The club plays its first spring training game Sunday against the Texas Rangers.
