CINCINNATI -- The Reds placed infielder Miguel Cairo on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with an injured hamstring and called up infielder Todd Frazier from Triple-A Louisville.
Cairo hurt his left hamstring during a loss at Washington on Saturday. He's eligible to be reinstated on April 30. Cairo appeared in four games, going 1 for 9 with an RBI.
Frazier was the final player cut from the roster before Opening Day, optioned to the minors to open a spot when the Reds claimed reliever Alfredo Simon off waivers from Baltimore.
Frazier led the club with five homers and 15 RBIs during spring training, when he played first base, third base and outfield.
