ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday with an inner ear infection.
Crisp, who was batting .194, left Wednesday's game in Boston in the eighth inning and was diagnosed on Thursday, the A's day off.
"We're going to have him go back to get some more tests, but right now, they're calling an inner ear infection," A's manager Bob Melvin said. "That's about as far as I go with it."
Oakland recalled outfielder Michael Taylor from Triple-A Sacramento. Taylor started in left field on Friday against Tampa Bay and went 0 for 3.
