ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rays will activate pitchers Jeremy Hellickson and Kyle Farnsworth from the disabled list for Saturday night's game against Detroit.
Hellickson, who missed two starts while on the 15-day DL because of right shoulder inflammation, is Saturday's scheduled starter.
Farnsworth, a late-inning reliever on the 60-day DL, hasn't appeared in a game this season due to a strained right elbow.
To make room on the roster, Tampa Bay optioned relievers Cesar Ramos and Brandon Gomes to Triple-A Durham after beating the Tigers 4-2 on Friday night.
Also, reliever Joel Peralta will return Saturday from his eight-game suspension for having pine tar on his glove.
