OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland Athletics right-hander A.J. Griffin was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right shoulder and outfielder Michael Taylor was optioned to Triple-A before Sunday's game with the Toronto Blue Jays.
The A's recalled left-hander Pedro Figueroa and right-hander Evan Scribner from Sacramento.
Griffin complained of some tightness in Saturday's game against the Blue Jays and was eventually removed from the game with two outs in the second inning.
Taylor appeared in two games with Oakland, going hitless in five at-bats.
Figueroa joins the team for a fourth time, and Scribner returns for a third time.
