SAN DIEGO -- The San Francisco Giants recalled outfielder Justin Christian and right-hander Eric Hacker from Triple-A Fresno on Friday before opening a weekend series with the San Diego Padres.
Christian appeared in 22 games for the Giants earlier this season, hitting .158 with one RBI before being sent down to Fresno on Aug. 2.
Hacker made one start for San Francisco this season, giving up three runs and eight hits over six innings in the Giants' 5-3 loss to San Diego on April 27.
He walked two and struck out seven in his first big league start. The former reliever is 12-6 with a 3.95 ERA as a starter for Fresno.
