ST. LOUIS -- Carlos Beltran, the National League's RBIs leader, missed his second start in three games because of a right hand injury.
St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said the hand has been bothering Beltran for a while.
Beltran was 0 for 8 in a 19-inning loss to the Pirates on Sunday, and Matheny said the injury has flared up, but that he didn't think he'd be out long.
Beltran is hitting .278 with 28 homers and 85 RBIs
Regular first baseman Allen Craig moved to right field for Tuesday night's game against the Houston Astros, with Matt Carpenter replacing Craig at first. Matheny said Craig is more comfortable in the outfield.
