WASHINGTON -- Right fielder Jayson Werth has been scratched from the Washington Nationals' lineup.
Werth left Saturday's 10-9 loss to St. Louis in the ninth inning with leg cramps, but there was no reason provided for his removal from the lineup for Sunday's series finale.
Roger Bernandina replaced Werth as the Nationals' leadoff hitter. Bryce Harper moved from center to right, and Bernandina took over in center.
Werth, who missed the first four months of the season with a wrist injury, is batting .313 with four homers and 24 RBIs in 54 games.
