Sean Nolin to debut for Blue Jays
TORONTO -- The Blue Jays are promoting left-hander Sean Nolin to make his major league debut Friday night against the Baltimore Orioles.
A sixth-round draft pick in 2010, Nolin went 10-0 with a 2.04 ERA in 20 games at two minor league levels last season, including a 9-0 mark at Class A Dunedin. He's started 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA in three games at Double-A New Hampshire this season.
The Blue Jays will make another roster move Friday to add Nolin to the 40-man roster. Manager John Gibbons said right-hander Chad Jenkins is expected to start Sunday against Baltimore, meaning right-hander Ramon Ortiz likely will be designated for assignment.
