Things don't look good for Miller, Corbin

Shelby Miller and Patrick Corbin have struggled this season, but both have actually been lucky in terms of hits and home runs allowed, per Baseball Info Solutions. Their declining strikeout rates point to more problems ahead. Pitchers who won't rebound (Insider)

I'm not sure who will start for the Diamondbacks on Monday. Zack Godley would be a logical guess, but he pitched for Triple-A Reno on Thursday so he'd be on three days' rest.

Looks like Archie Bradley might be in the Diamondbacks rotation for a more extended stay this time, with Shelby Miller and Rubby De La Rosa on the DL. Bradley a top-90 caliber SP stash, but not more.

Peter O'Brien's recall is exciting news for fantasy owners but let's not go overboard quite yet. The Diamondbacks have the DH in Houston June 1-2 so this could be mainly with that in mind. Could be a Joey Gallo thing... though I'd stash in case it's not!

Miller still dealing with finger issue

Shelby Miller is still experiencing discomfort in his right pointer finger, which he banged on the ground of the mound last month. “He's still having some residual effects of that with feel," manager Chip Hale said. "He's been good to pitch. He's pitched through it. But we've got to make 100 percent sure that thing is not affecting his performance.” Arizona Republic

D-backs blaming Pirates for HBPs

In the days since Pirates reliever Arquimedes Caminero struck two D-backs on the head with pitches, Arizona manager Chip Hale and chief baseball officer Tony La Russa have pointed fingers at the Bucs for the mishap. "It's almost the fault more of the coaching and the managing than it is the player," Hale said. Arizona Republic

Unlucky season for Robbie Ray?

Last season, Ray had no problem reaching two-strike counts but struggled with putting the finishing touches on plate appearances. What woes are plaguing the 24-year-old pitcher this year? Inside the 'Zona
