How Orioles got creative with Chris Davis

Britton, Orioles reach 1-year deal

The Orioles have acquired pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne from the Padres in exchange for minor league hurler Jean Cosme. The 28-year old righty, who was 9-16 with a 4.42 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 34 starts over two seasons in San Diego, will compete for the fifth spot in Baltimore's rotation.
