Just saw this on the MLB Network regarding the Astros. Only two teams have made the postseason after starting 8-18 or worse: the Miracle Braves of 1914 and the 2001 A's. Those A's ended up winning 102 games. So don't give up, Astros fans!

Altuve off to All-Star-caliber start

Jose Altuve joins David Schoenfield's list of April All-Stars after adding some pop to his game -- at least early on -- with seven homers. Altuve still leads the majors with 12 doubles and nine stolen bases. Schoenfield: April All-Stars

Astros creating wrong headline in April

Where would you rank the Stros on your most disappointing teams list? Jayson Stark has them solidly at No. 1. And speaking of that number, that was the Astros' longest winning streak in April: one. Stark: April in review

What's wrong with Dallas Keuchel?

Last year's Cy Young winner has an ERA above 5 and is off to a rough start this season. But is it all bad, or are there some positive signs in there?

Astros drop one spot to No. 25

Tyler White had us singing his praises after the season's first week. Since then, you can't even find the rookie's batting average with a magnifying glass. Week 4 Power Rankings

Evan

Sunday's longest home runs

Evan Longoria's solo shot to left-center off Marcus Stroman was his second home run in as many games, and fifth of the season. A pair of Nationals made the list at exactly the same distance.

Astros problems in 2016 are plentiful

Poor pitching across the board and a lack of offensive production at a couple of spots in the lineup have made for a very frustrating season.
