Cubs beat Brewers 7-2 at Wrigley Field this afternoon. The ViewFromVegas is they were as high as a -425 favorite at the Stratosphere sports book and -410 at CG Technology books. Baseball favorites rarely exceed -300, but we'll probably see more of these lines with Arrieta and this Cubs lineup.

Haudricourt: Brewers on no-hit watch?

Jake Arrieta's next start is against the Brewers. How concerned should they be? Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Brewers beat writer Tom Haudricourt gives his take.

Stats & Info

Carter's homer leaves in a hurry

Chris Carter is no stranger to hitting home runs, but Wednesday's two-run shot off the Twins' Ryan Pressly was the fastest of his career at 115.9 mph off the bat, per ESPN's Home Run Tracker.

Stats & Info

Wednesday's longest home runs

Anthony Rizzo's 436-foot shot off Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez led the way on Wednesday, but Matt Kemp's solo homer off the Pirates' Jeff Locke also carried significance.

David Schoenfield ESPN Senior Writer

You know, Ryan Braun can still hit. He's off to a good start and while he obviously comes with a lot of baggage, he'd be a nice fit on many AL teams starving for offense. The big issue is a contract that runs for five more seasons. But he could be an interesting name in trade rumors.

Schroeder: Scrappy Brewers

FS Wisconsin Brewers color commentator Bill Schroeder recaps the Brewers' scrappy win over the Twins and recalls some of his favorite rain delay stories.
