Athletics have only three choices with Rich Hill now not able to pitch on Sunday because of his blister: 1. Sell low (not happening with Beane in charge) 2. Trade for prospect and player to be named later with level of prospect based on how many starts he makes for assignee club or 3. Make 16.7m qualifying offer in off-season and hope he rejects it and get first round pick or if he accepts it ...hope he stays healthy enough to trade him at next year's trade deadline.

Lineup: Athletics (47-55) at Indians (57-42)

  • 1. Coco Crisp, CF (S)
  • 2. Jed Lowrie, 2B (S)
  • 3. Josh Reddick, RF (L)
  • 4. Khris Davis, LF (R)

Blue Jays are pursuing Rich Hill of the A's as they still are planning on making what I think is a major mistake by moving their best starter Aaron Sanchez to the bullpen at some point in the 2nd half. Hill is scheduled to start Sunday for Oakland if blister is ok to go. Tick tock tick tock deadline Monday 4pm et

Khris Davis emerging as top power threat

Davis hit two home runs against the Rangers on Wednesday for his ninth multi-HR game since the start of last season. That's the most in the majors in that time, ESPN Stats & Info notes.

Small chance A's trade Semien

Nobody is safe in Billy Beane land, but shortstop Marcus Semien might actually be more untouchable right now than struggling ace Sonny Gray, David Schoenfield writes. Untouchable players for all 30 teams

Stats & Info

Monday's longest home runs

Padres rookie Alex Dickerson led the way on Monday with a 452-foot blast that extended San Diego's streak of consecutive games with a home run to 23. Two Brewers also went deep, while Adrian Beltre's long ball sent the Rangers home happy.
