Boog Powell, a minor league outfielder for the Mariners' Triple-A affiliate, received an 80-game suspension after testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance.

Good night, Mariners. Seattle falls under .500 after a four-game sweep in Detroit that included two extra-inning losses. The rotation is beat up, the bullpen has regressed after a strong start and the lineup left too many runners on base. Hard to imagine them getting back in the AL West race.
