The next three games and four days could determine what Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto decides to do. They're three over .500. Win three and he may try and get Jay Bruce and pitching help; lose three and he may offer up Hisashi Iwakuma.

The Seattle Mariners are among the teams that have expressed interest in Cincinnati's Jay Bruce, who is likely to be on the move by Monday's trade deadline. Seattle has received middling production from Seth Smith, Nori Aoki and Franklin Gutierrez at the corner outfield spots this season, and Bruce would provide a major upgrade in 2017. He has a $13 million club option next season.

Ichiro records career hit No. 2,997 leading off the eighth inning for the Marlins. Ichiro's run to 3,000 has been remarkable, given he was 27 when he got his first MLB hit. The player who holds the oldest debut age to get to 3,000 hits is Wade Boggs, who hadn't even turned 24.

Felix Hernandez has allowed 4+ ER in three straight games for the first time since September of 2012. With the Mariners on the fringes of the playoff race, they need King Felix to be an ace, but, sadly, those days are looking like something of the past.
