Any time there's a matchup between fighters as talented and well-rounded as Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez, I avoid making broad, general statements like "Velasquez has to do (such and such) to win." Still, I'm sticking with "Velasquez must get things to the ground to win." Dos Santos is a monster on the feet. You can attack his lead leg with kicks, like Frank Mir did, but at what cost? He loves to counter and does it with awesome hand speed. He's terrific at going to the body; a major weapon when done effectively. Dos Santos claims he has a ground game, but until we see it, Velasquez's game plan has to rely on takedowns.
