Ricardo Lamas is a complete fighter with dynamic standup ability, but he's a wrestler at heart. When it's crunch time and he needs momentum, he wants to grapple. That's important here, as I really believe there will come a time he needs to get Erik Koch down. Koch brings energy. His speed, feints, leg kicks, combinations -- they're tough to deal with. Not to mention he's the bigger, taller fighter here. He tends to not get overly aggressive, too. He'll push the action but won't run into a double-leg takedown. If you do get him down, the energy doesn't stop. He's got a very active guard. Lamas has lots of tools on his feet, but over the course of a three-round fight, I don't think he can overcome Koch's standup.
