UFC 162    July 6, 2013

You know what to expect from Anderson Silva early. Dancing hands, running, more feints than actual punches. It can look like nothing to the rest of us, but in reality, it's effective. It's intimidating, confusing and when an opponent reacts, he's giving vital info to Silva on how he moves. Chael Sonnen threw that out the window by getting in his face. Chris Weidman might replicate that, but it's not his style. Weidman's takedowns aren't flashy, but they are effective. He commits and times them well. He's terrific on top, but will he be as aggressive with guard passes as usual, knowing they could give Silva a chance to get up? Guys, don't forget this will only be Weidman's 10th professional fight.
