This is a bad spot for Josh Koscheck. He has to be cursing his luck, having just fought for the title right before the seemingly unbeatable champ goes down for an extended stretch. He draws Mike Pierce here, a tough outing in the 170-pound division, but this fight doesn't offer a lot of reward if you beat him. I'm not worried about Koscheck's head, but I'm not in love with his position, either. Pierce doesn't move well. He's flat-footed and has no lateral movement. It's a potential weak spot, but Koscheck is a fairly straightforward guy, too. Koscheck might take Pierce down but will struggle to keep him there. Koscheck's hands are better, but this matchup will lead to dangerous, heavy exchanges where both guys are exposed.
