Power Rankings: Featherweight
Monday, Feb. 4
They call it the featherweight division because it's a lot of migration. There's Clay Guida, who just eked by Hatsu Hioki. There's Nik Lentz, who joins Tim Boetsch, Demian Maia and TJ Grant as guys who look brilliant for trying a lighter division. There's Frankie Edgar, who took on Jose Aldo in what is probably his more natural weight class. And then there's Anthony Pettis -- the one who texted Dana White after Aldo's hard earned decision at UFC 156. Will Pettis get his wish of fighting Aldo next? Here's guessing that would be the new biggest fight in flyweight history, since Pettis is coming off of a big win and is the No. 1 contender as a lightweight. What would that do to Chan Sung Jung and Ricardo Lamas, each of whom seems to be in consideration for a title shot? Well, they can fight each other in a true No. 1 contender spot. All would sync up real nicely in that case, wouldn't it? (If only things were this easy).
