The best pound-for-pound debate is becoming more of a "who's the best fighter aside from Anderson Silva?" debate. Silva put another definitive stamp on his legacy by beating Yushin Okami at UFC 134 in his native Brazil, to make it 14 wins in a row. Nine of those have been title defenses, and a dozen of them he finished. Until proven otherwise, Silva is the best in the business, let alone the obvious No. 1 in our Power Rankings.

Now Silva will very likely draw the winner between Brian Stann and Chael Sonnen, who fight on Oct. 8 at UFC 136 in Houston. Sonnen returns from a year of travails to try and regain his position as the No. 1 contender, but Stann has been a wreckling ball for all three guys he's faced as a middleweight since losing to Phil Davis in 2010 at 205 pounds. Should he get by Sonnen, it will be between Stann and maybe Dan Henderson to get the next crack at Silva.

Meanwhile Mark Munoz continues his climb at 185, and draws Chris Leben next at UFC 138, and Okami slips a little to No. 5 after losing to Silva. There's no shame the latter. Losing is the norm for whoever faces the Spider.
