Michael Bisping made his claim for the next crack at the 185-pound belt with a well-executed decision victory over Brian Stann at UFC 152. The problem, as is often the case with Bisping, is that the situation is complicated. Middleweight champion Anderson Silva has an appointment with Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153 and, should he win, the thinking is that he'll wait and see what happens at UFC 154 between Carlos Condit and Georges St. Pierre. Should St. Pierre defend his 170-pound belt, the idea is to put together a superfight between GSP and Silva. Where would that leave Bisping? In "wait and see" mode. If everything goes according to Hoyle and both Silva and St. Pierre are victorious, the Boetsch/Weidman winner might make for a perfect No. 1 contender bout with Bisping. In any case, Bisping will be fighting a monster in the division his next time out.See how they were ranked here.
