Power Rankings: Middleweight

The thing about Yushin Okami is that he's as stubborn as he is dominant. When it's an Okami fight, it's an exercise in frustration for opponents. It's a struggle in the clinch and, once he gets you to the ground, it's a chore to get back up. Okami did what he does best at UFC 155 against a top-10 opponent in Alan Belcher. He used his strength to suffocate Belcher for three rounds and in the process neutralized all of the "Talent's" danger areas. Okami heads north in this week's Power Rankings after his route of Belcher. Meanwhile Costa Philippou, who filled in for Chris Weidman against Tim Boetsch, made the most of his big chance. He weathered the storm early and began to wear Boetsch down in the second round. By the third, it was Philippou's fight. As for Boetsch? A head butt, a finger to the eye and a downward spiral ended his run toward Anderson Silva. For now, anyway.
