Power Rankings: Middleweight

Hector Lombard was being coupled into a title fight with Anderson Silva not all that long ago. But it feels like eons since all of that anticipatory hype. Lombard was given an obstacle at UFC 149 in the form of Tim Boetsch, when "Lightning" made his long-awaited Octagon debut. He didn't clear it, though the fight was close. And while Lombard was able to redeem himself a measure by knocking out Rousimar Palhares in December, he wasn't able to really get things going against Yushin Okami until the third round. And even then, when he had Okami in trouble with a storm of uppercuts and crosses, he elected to swim into Okami's guard and finish the fight out there, rather than go for broke. Where does a 1-2 record, after rolling into the UFC on a 20-fight winning streak, stack Lombard in this week's Power Rankings? On the outside looking in.
