It wasn't the kind of fight we've grown to expect from Jake Ellenberger, but then again, Jay Hieron is no slouch. The flash finishes that Ellenberger scored against Sean Pierson and Jake Shields (and nearly Martin Kampmann) are fun to watch, but he'll grind when necessary, and -- as proven against Hieron and Diego Sanchez -- he'll grind well. The decision victory at UFC on FX 5 won't catapult him into welterweight title contention, but it moves him back to near where he was before dropping the Kampmann bout. And overall, having won seven of his last eight fights, Ellenberger is still one of the hottest welters going. How fun would it be to see him stand across from Nick Diaz next? Just throwing it out there. The "Juggernaut" hangs tough in the top 10 in this week's Power Rankings.
