Daniel Straus, Pat Curran to fight

A featherweight trilogy matchup between Daniel Straus and Pat Curran is set to headline Bellator Fighting Championships 112 on March 14 in Hammond, Ind.

The five-round contest will be for Straus' 145-pound title.

The televised event takes place inside Horseshow Hammond Casino, near Chicago, Ill.

Straus (22-4) lifted the Bellator featherweight title from Curran in an upset, unanimous decision win in November. The series between them now stands at 1-1, as Curran knocked out Straus in the second round of a meeting in April 2009.

A Cincinnati native, Straus will ride a six-fight win streak into the title bout -- five of which have come via decision.

Curran (19-5) looks to rebound for the first time since he suffered a decision loss to current Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in April 2011.

The 26-year-old featherweight won the 145-pound belt in March 2012 with a third-round knockout over Joe Warren and defended it twice before losing to Straus.

Bellator officials also announced on Monday a welterweight matchup between War Machine (14-5), formerly known as Jonathan Koppenhaver, and Nah-Shon Burrell (11-3) for the March 14 event.
