Former Bellator MMA featherweight champion Joe Warren will attempt to claim the promotion's bantamweight title on May 2 in Atlantic City, N.J.

The title bout will headline Bellator 118, which airs on Spike TV. Officials announced the card, which will take place at Revel Atlantic City, on Friday.

Warren (10-3) will meet the winner of an upcoming 135-pound title fight between champion Eduardo Dantas and Rafael Silva. That fight is scheduled for March 7.

A former U.S. Olympic wrestler, Warren won the Bellator featherweight title in September 2010 in a second-round knockout over Joe Soto. He surrendered it in his first attempted defense, losing to Pat Curran via knockout in March 2012.

Warren, 37, earned a shot at the bantamweight title after winning the Season 9 tournament. He recorded finishes over Nick Kirk and Travis Marx in late 2013.
