Mousasi to face Munoz on May 31
The event, which will stream on the UFC's Fight Pass Internet service, will take place at 02 World Berlin in Germany. UFC officials announced the main event Thursday.
Mousasi (34-4-2) seeks his first win in the UFC middleweight division. He suffered a unanimous decision loss to No. 1 contender Lyoto Machida in his previous performance, at a UFC Fight Night event last month.
A former 205-pound champion in Strikeforce and Dream, Mousasi dropped to 185 pounds following a successful UFC debut at light heavyweight against Ilir Latifi. The 28-year-old saw a four-fight win streak snapped in the loss to Machida.
Munoz (13-4) is also coming off a loss to Machida in his last bout. The California-based middleweight hasn't fought since October, when he suffered a first-round head kick knockout to Machida in England.
The Berlin event will be the UFC's first in the German capital. A second international event is expected to take place in Brazil on the same day.
