Cruz will make the fourth defense of his bantamweight crown Saturday night in the main event of UFC Live 6 at Verizon Center.
Every fighter except for bantamweight Byron Bloodworth made weight for the event. Bloodworth tipped the scale at 138 pounds, three more than the 135-pound bantamweight limit.
ESPN.com learned Bloodworth was not required to lose any additional weight due to accepting the fight with Washington resident Mike Easton, who checked in at 135 pounds, on Monday as a late replacement.
However, the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission has ruled that Bloodworth must sacrifice 20 percent of his purse. It was not made known to ESPN.com how much money Bloodworth was offered for the bout.
Bloodworth-Easton will now be contested at a catchweight of 138 pounds.
