Dennis Siver, Ross Pearson get rematch

Dennis Siver will get the chance to avenge a loss in March 2010 to Ross Pearson, but he must do so as a featherweight.

The former lightweights will face each other on April 14 in Stockholm, Sweden, UFC officials told Swedish website MMANYYT.se on Wednesday.

Siver (19-8) will be competing at 145 pounds for the first time in his professional mixed martial arts career. He revealed his decision to move down a weight class in October, following a first-round submission loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC 137.

Pearson made his featherweight debut on Dec. 30 at UFC 141. After struggling in the opening round, Pearson (13-5) found his rhythm in the second and third rounds to earn a unanimous decision over highly touted Junior Assuncao.

During their first encounter, Pearson and Siver put on a "Fight of the Night" performance. Pearson came away with a unanimous decision in the hotly contested bout.

Light heavyweight contender and Stockholm resident Alexander Gustafsson and veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira have agreed to meet in the April 14 main event.

In the co-feature, middleweight contender Brian Stann will battle Alessio Sakara.
