UFC middleweight contender Michael Bisping became the latest high-profile fighter to succumb to injury.
Bisping suffered an undisclosed injury that has forced him to pull out of his UFC 149 bout against Tim Boetsch, the promotion announced Wednesday night.
As a result, Boetsch will face former Bellator 185-pound champion Hector Lombard on July 21 in a UFC 149 main-card fight in Calgary, Alberta.
Lombard originally was slated to face hard-hitting Brian Stann on Aug. 4 in the five-round UFC on Fox 4 main event. But that bout fell through when Stann pulled out of the fight due to a shoulder injury.
