Nogueira (33-7-1) becomes the latest high profile fighter to fall off the July 21 card that will be held in Calgary, Alberta.
Injuries also forced featherweight champion Jose Aldo and middleweight contender Michael Bisping to withdraw from the card.
Nogueira, ranked ninth among heavyweights by ESPN.com, was slated to face hard-hitting Cheick Kongo. He has been replaced by Shawn Jordan.
In his most recent outing on Dec. 10 at UFC 140, Nogueira was submitted by Frank Mir in the first round.
