Light heavyweight contender Phil Davis will face Wagner Prado on Aug. 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com on Thursday.
Davis will appear inside the Octagon for the first time since Jan. 28, when he lost a unanimous decision to former 205-pound champion Rashad Evans. It was Davis' first pro loss.
Ranked seventh among light heavyweights by ESPN.com, Davis (9-1) was originally scheduled to meet Chad Griggs at the UFC on Fox event, but Griggs suffered an injury that forced him to withdraw.
The undefeated Prado makes his UFC debut against Davis. He will enter the cage with an 8-0-0 record.
