McCall said on Monday he suffered a sprained lateral collateral ligament in his knee and expects to be sidelined for six weeks.
He was set to face John Moraga in a UFC on Fox main event bout at Staples Center. Moraga (10-1) remains on the Aug. 4 card to face Ulysses Gomez (9-2). Both fighters will make their UFC debut.
McCall has a professional record of 11-3-1, but is 0-1-1 in UFC. Each of his UFC fights came against Demetrious Johnson in flyweight tournament semifinal bouts.
