"I'm pumped," Larkin told ESPN.com. "I've gotten into my groove and have become established in Strikeforce.
"I'm not going in there to give him a little bit of a challenge; I'm going in there to take that belt. The only thing on my mind is taking that belt and doing whatever is necessary to accomplish my goal."
Larkin, who previously competed at 205 pounds, makes his second appearance at middleweight.
In his 185-pound debut on July 14, Larkin defeated Robbie Lawler by unanimous decision. Larkin (13-0-1) has knocked out eight of his opponents.
Rockhold improved to 10-1 on July 14 with a unanimous decision over Tim Kennedy.
