Erik Koch-Ricardo Lamas to Jan. 26
Koch and Lamas were originally scheduled to meet Dec. 29 at UFC 155 in Las Vegas. UFC officials have not yet offered a reason the fight was moved.
"Me and (Showtime) gonna run it in Chicago!" Koch said on Twitter. "Let's do this!"
It's expected that the Koch-Lamas winner will earn a featherweight title shot.
Koch (13-1) was slated to face 145-pound titleholder Jose Aldo twice this year.
The first bout on July 21 was postponed when Aldo suffered a leg injury. A partially torn medial collateral ligament in Koch's right knee forced him to withdraw from an Oct. 13 title fight with Aldo.
Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is scheduled to meet Aldo on Feb. 2 at UFC 156 in Las Vegas.
Lamas entered the lightweight title picture on Jan. 22 when he defeated Hatsu Hioki by unanimous decision in Atlantic City, N.J.
He will take a 12-2 professional record and three-fight win streak into the cage against Koch.
